Posted Date: 01/21/26 (08:26 AM)

Rockland Middle/High School will host the Audra Sipple Spath Scholarship Girls Varsity Basketball Tournament later this week.
The four-team tournament will kick off Friday, Jan. 23, with Sullivan West Bulldogs taking on Tri-Valley Bears at 4:30 p.m. The second game, at 6 p.m., will feature the Rockland Wolves and the Fallsburg Comets.
The tournament will continue Saturday, Jan. 24, with the consolation game, featuring the losing teams of Friday's games, at 11:30 a.m., followed by the championship game, featuring the winners of the Friday games, at 1:15 p.m.
There will be pregame dedications each day, with Rockland Athletic Director Christopher Hubert giving the dedication Friday and members of the Spath Committee on Saturday.
The tournament is held in honor of Audra Sipple Spath, a longtime elementary teacher in Livingston Manor who passed away in 2022. A scholarship was established in her memory  to benefit a graduating college-bound Rockland senior with an average of GPA 3.0 or higher. The recipient must have participated in community service; extra curricular activities and possess good moral and ethical character, with preference given to education majors.
All games will be held in the new gym at Rockland Middle High School at 19 School St. in Livingston Manor.
